well, i'm going to a wedding on saturday and i want to get my make up done by a professional. i dont want to go a salon or somewhere like that because that would cost too much. i want to get it done at a deparment store where they sell make up and stuff. but i dont know what to tell them. and is it for free? and i want to buy a blush so can i just tell them that i'm going to a wedding and i want to get my make up done and i'm looking for a blush. i know this sounds dumb but i just dont know what to tell them. and would they mind if i tell them that i want them to do my make up for me for free? and have you done this before? by the way i'm 13! thanks alot!

  1. It's easy.  Just go to a counter at the mall and tell them what you want.  We like your opinion because it helps us do it the way you want.

  2. Go with your Mom & have her do the talking.  You do not to have them put too much make up on you.  Or instead of doing that, check to see if the wedding party is going to have someone do their make up.  Maybe you could be there & they would help you.

  3. They will do your makeup if you just simply say I'm looking for makeup I want to try a new look and would like some help.  And then just ask them if they could do your makeup to help suggest some things to you.  The etiquette is then to buy something and more than just like a 12 dollar lipstick.  It may cost you 50 or so bucks but the advantage over getting it done at a salon is you go home with nice new makeup that you like.

  4. just have ur mom take u 2 a mkeup counter and say she needs help shes going 2 start wearing makeup and they do it 4 u

  5. No, it doesn't sound dumb at all. People do it all the time for weddings, homecoming, prom, etc. I've gotten my make up done many times at Macy's Clinique counter and they're always very nice and do a wonderful job.

It used to be free at the Macy's by my house, but now you have to buy at least 2 items. Depending on where you go, it may be a little different, but since you're looking for a blush anyway, you may as well go for it!

Anyway, just say that you're attending a wedding and you'd like to get your make up done. Also mention that you are looking for a few products so they know you plan on buying from them.

    Good luck =)
