I want to get my parakeets to come on my hand but they dont what should i do?

i bought my parakeets from the pet store and they dont want to come on my finger they get scared i tried giving them treats and they would eat that but when i just place my finger near the branch on them so they can get on they scatter instead i been at this for months and i tried plenty of other ideas too what can i do to get them to trust me enough to come on my finger.

Well, from what know, keep your finger in the cage and don't move just keep it there , so it'll get use to the idea of your finger  and then soon enough you can try touching it, so that it will hop on to your finger.

I don't have birds, but one time a friend of mine told me how she taught her bird to get on her finger...so here goes...when you put your finger to the perch, leave your finger up just enough to where your bird has to step up to get on your finger. Eventually, you will be able to just put your finger to the bird of course and she will automatically hop on.....hope this helps some...if true bird people come on...we will see if they agree or have better hints and methods.....Good Luck

sit next to the birds cage and talk to it softly.also put ur hand in the cagee.dont move it oranything eventually ur birds will get used to ur hand.then u wont have trouble teaching the brird to go ur fingure.
