I want to get pregnant but i just got off the depo shot?

i been on the depo shot 4 years and am just now get off how long do i how to wait for me to get pregnant.

Took me 18 months to get pregnant after the depo shot.  I had only been on for 2 cycles.  The shot had stopped my body from ovulating.

As far as how long you should actually wait to try and conceive, that is a question for your doctor.

As to how long it will take for you to conceive, none of us can possibly have the answer to that.  Every women's body reacts differently to contraceptives.  You can only wait and let time tell.

It really does depend.  I was on the depo shot for about 6 years and got pregnant 2 weeks after i missed 1 but this pregnancy sadly ended in miscarriage.  My dr told me that your period should return to normal within a year and if it does not investigations would need to be done into the cause.  So I suggest that you try as best you can for a year and if your monthly cycle has not returned or is not as it was before go and see your gp.  They will not do anything for you until you have been off it for a whole year at least.

there is no real set time. It could take any time from 1 month to a year. It all depends on your body chemistry.
