I want to get someone a nice throw blanket with her name on it...what kind of place would embroder names?

Basically what title says. I am looking for a solid color throw blanket that I could take somewhere and they would place her name into the blanket of my choice of font and size...but I no nothing about this or where to take this to be done..

Things Remembered not only sells throw blankets but they embroider

I'm not sure if you can bring in an item that is not from the store in to embroider, however I believe they will embroider or engrave anything.  You can try that if you have a store nearby, or possibly order online.

Be careful of "Things Remembered". They have a bad reputation. I have had bad luck with them. Cheap merchandise, shoddy workmanship, and they don't always have the items done when promised.

If you already have you blanket, try the businesses that sell embroidery sewing machines or fabric stores.  They usually have a list of people who will do the work for a fee.

Yes, you can go through those larger companies such as L.L. Bean... I've worn their shirts for decades.

BUT, I'd look FIRST in my local Yellow Pages under "Embroidery"... ALWAYS support your local shops first if you can.  I came up with 15+ shops within 20 miles of my location.  ALSO check with your local Chamber of Commerce.
