Preferably somewhere that is quiet but easy access to a bit of nightlife.

  1. You could rent a sweet countryside cottage. They are found in all places of the UK, since there's a lot of countryside ;) Also, most places are fairly close to a main road/motorway, which lead to any major cities etc. None will be that long of a drive because the UK is quite small. Perhaps go to the Lake District, Peak District, Snowdonia (is apparently a favourite amongst people) or any of the national parks.

Another option you have is spending some time in London, staying in a nice (but expensive) hotel, going to see shows in the West End, visiting the sites etc.

Or you could even brave the coastline, find a quiet hotel to stay in and walk around the countryside/beaches.

  2. No such thing as a romantic week in the UK mate...

  3. My boyfriend and I went fore a weekend in Blakeney in Norfolk and stayed in the Wash House (check out the cottages on the link below).  Would really recommend it.

Quiet and quaint, but a great pub that does pub food and there is a really good restaurant attached, and they served us till the early hours.

  5. A great place is Portmerion. A mock Italian style village set in the middle of North Wales. Near to Portmadock.

There are 2 hotels and I would recommend Catle Dudreth, check them out. Obviously depends where you live and travelling distance.

  6. www.eastwellmanor.co.uk (very quiet, easy access to the motorways).  You won't be disappointed with a stay here..
