  1. I think it is great that you want to get back to school;  I'm not from your area so I can't tell you specifically but I know two methods that people use around here.  At one of our local high schools they offer Adult Education courses in the evening, some of the courses are to prepare for a GED but most of them are high school level courses designed to get the credits your need to graduate - the courses that you did take in high school should still be on record and they would look at that and see what more you need for a diploma and you would take those courses.  Once you have completed them all you would get an actual high school diploma.  I used to teach one of these classes and it would be once a week for about 3 hours (of course with a break in there).   Another option that we have here is Virtual High School - yep, an actual high school program that you do completely online, at your own home and at your own convenience.  There is still an "instructor" for each course - but he/she is really more of your organizer and tutor...this is what I am now teaching.  This is an approved high school program and a diploma from here is just the same as a diploma from a traditional school.  This is a GREAT option if you are able to motivate yourself...in our state, if you are a resident of the state up to age 21 then the program is free.  You would need to see what's available in your area, but I'm sure there is something!  Good luck!
