  1. If the eye doctor says you need glasses, you need glasses.  If your mom says you don't, get a new mom.

  2. Tell your story to the teacher --she can move you up front. Tell your story to the school nurse--Let her do her job! Tell you story to your mom and dad--it's their job to help you.The last people you should be talking to is us. Wishing you the best!!

  3. Take your glasses with you to school, if your mum makes a big deal of it then go to the school nurse, he/she may be able to sort out an appointment for you, or they will have a word with your mum.

    I wish you luck.

  4. if u need glasses den u should tell ur mom. Ur mom cant decide for u if u need dem or not. She cant c wid ur eyes. And y wouldn u wear ur glasses 2 school?? if u cant c widout dem, den u should wear dem. If u have trouble seeing da board den maybe u should tell ur teacher so she can move u up to da front.

  5. go to the scholl nurse

  6. If you tell your teachers you can't see they would probably be happy to call your mom or write her a note explaining that you can't see the board. You could also request a seat change to up front. Maybe you could show your mom you really can't see by trying to read something but you don't do it right. Don't be scared and tell your mom they are your eyes and you should know if you can see blurry or well.

  7. I am in the exact same position as you. My dad said the same when i complained to him saying i can't see from distance when he always wanted me to read the words out from the board in front of him (i'm short sighted) and he just didnt believe me and never bought me to opticians, then my brothers girlfriend gave up when i complained once again and when she noticed me squinting my eyes, she bought me to specsavers (opticians) and then he said i was short sighted, 2.50 distance in each eye, my prescription needed changing twice. So, really, your mom needs to hear this from the optician if she doesn't want you too, glasses are so important, the longer you leave it, the worse it'll be.

  8. If you can't get her to go with you or feel too apprehensive about asking her(which is a shame your Mum makes you feel like this) i would go and ask your eye doctor to write a note explaining why you need the glasses- please don't suffer like this .

  9. You will have to tell your mum the truth, that although she doesnt think you need them you obviously do.Your mum is also not qualified to say this? Tell her that you need them and that you are struggling to read things. Dont stop wearing them because of what other people or your mum might say, you will  be doing yourself no favours.

  10. You don't need another eye test.  Just wear your glasses and ignore what your mother and others say about it.  Why are you not wearing them, it's not like she took them away.

If your mother continues to harass you about it,  put the TV on to one of the channels that has a lot of print iwith scrolling news. Stand 15 to 20 ft away and  read the news with and without glasses  to show her that you can't see.
