I want to go backpacking in June/July in a hot country with excellent beaches. Any ideas?

I need a break to chill out. Been working for too long and have to get away. I need somewhere I can chill and meet people, maybe go diving or another activity.. any idea's?

Try Tropical North Queensland or Darwin in Australia.  The rest of the country has winter then, but in the tropical north is is the best weather you'll ever find, around 29-32 degrees C and it won't rain until at least September.

costa rica or any other South AMerican countries, hot weather + inexpensive + great tourist locations, hiking spots and great scenery = fun backpacking trip

I would also suggest starting in northern Australia -  far north Queensland for the rainforests, beaches and diving (maybe Cairns or Port Douglas) then go to Darwin and do an adventure tour across the Kimberly  which is absolutely spectacular (camp out in swags/swim in waterfalls/see amazing wildlife) to Broome which has miles of beautiful beach then go down the west Australian coast pass Ningaloo reef where you can snorkel with whale sharks and turtles and end up in Perth.  This is a guaranteed amazing trip especially if you want to get away from the rat race and experience nature at its best.

you're perfectly describing the PHILIPPINES!!! hot and with excellent beaches... don't forget about the bikini-clad babes and ripped guys that comes with it... search for Boracay, Amanpulo, or Puerto Gallera... you won't search further... i'll bet you on that! ;)

Phuket, Thailand.

Its the chepest place you''ll ever go to. Can do EVERYTHING with very little money and bring back a suitcase full of memorabilia!

Mexico, but not the city.... but chiapas cacun or acapulco. most of the rural places in mexico have the best relaxing climate
