I want to go blonde?

Question

My natural color is a dark brown but my skin isnt that dark so i dont think itd look bad. I want a jessica alba kind of blonde. Problem is, last time i tried doing something blonde on my hair, i went to the salon cuz i didnt want to mess it up. But even when the supposed "hair professional" did it, it turned out yellow....any suggestions on how to make it not go yellow?????

I have a medium brown natural hair color and mine turned out orangey yellow and looked really bad but i also have fair skin.  I wouldn't recommend dieing dark hair lighter but you could always use hair bleach.  Or just get your hair highlighted.  When I used to highlight my hair eventually my hair started getting lighter and lighter every time i got it redone.  And to keep it nice use loreal blonde products.  they really bring out the blonde in your hair and make it look less orangey too.

i think that the die the hair professional died ur hair with is bad try going to another salon and ask for a good die also i wanna say that it is not easy to get the colr that u want from the first time for example if ur hair is blond and then u try to die it with blond it doesnt bo blond it goes orange so i suggest thst before u die ur hair with blond y should die it with very light brown it will work

Well I'm blond and one summer after swimming too much my hair was really green from the chlorine (what a perk for blonds!).  So I tried using something to take it out and it turned my hair green/dark brown.  Awful.  And I had to go to my first day of my Jr. year the very next day.  Went to a salon to fix it and they had to bleach it so much it turned yucky yellow then they tried to darken it w/ a darker blond but that didn't work.  And I remember the growing out, freakin dark roots compared to ugly yellow.  I think it's too much bleach for hair to handle.  And don't try at home kits, my sister and niece (dark brown hair) tried and ended up orangey-yellow.  Not a great look, but if you can find who does Jessica Alba's hair go for it!  Or Madonna's.  Might get expensive to keep up, highlighting my hair now and darkening it has to be done every 10 weeks and costs about $200.  You probably have beautiful hair and don't need to change a thing.  Good luck if you do!!!

do the regular bleaching that makes your hair yellow, then ask them to put on a glaze to darken it up a bit.

Well, my hair is naturally brown.  But my skin is sort of pale but a bit of a tan.  I think it looks great, but if oyu really want the blond.  First go to the salon to get it died blond, or do it your self.  Then the next day, go again and get your "yellow" hair died blond again.  Then becaus eyour hair is light, it will trun blond.

You still will want to go to a salon, just don't go to the same salon. And schedule an appointment before your hair cut appointment to talk to your hair dresser ahead of time and show him/her what you want.

If you want to go blonde maybe try a lighter color before going all the way blonde? My natural hair color turned into being brown through out the years even though I was born with nearly white hair so I wanted to keep it blonde. For years I dyed it blonde. Anyway... it was a pain in the as* because when it started going back brown it looked really horrible so you really have to keep up with it. Good luck!
