  1. Paddington would be very convenient.

  2. I think its Euston. If you walk out of Euston and turn Westbound and walk along Euston road as far as Regents park then turn left but I cant remember the name of the street you walk down to the next junction and that is Oxford street

  3. If I was going to Oxford Street I wouldnt start from Bristol.

  4. CC answered exactly right. I used to do this journey regularly.

You get the train from Bristol to Paddington and you can pick up the number 15 bus from the bus stops in Praed Street, which is outside of the front of Paddington Station. This bus will take you all the way along Oxford Street so that you can get off at exactly the place you want.

If you want to go by Tube then you will have to get the Bakerloo line to Oxford Circus, or have a longish walk from Paddington to the nearest Central Line station at Notting Hill Gate and get off at Oxford Circus. Note that Oxford Circus is at one end of Oxford Street and it's a long road to walk along.

  5. Go to Paddington and walk - less than 15 minutes away.

  6. Charing Cross is the nearest overland train station to Oxford street. The nearest tube stations are Tottenham Court rd and Oxford Circus. Oxford Circus is situated in the middle of Oxford St.

  7. whenever i want to go somewhere i go on the internet and go to transport for london. it does a route planner. it tells you quickest routes and how many changes you have to do. i find it very usefull. hope this helps x

  8. The nearest tube station is Oxford Circus (its right in the middle of Oxford Street)

Visit TFL for details of connections from the train station that you will arrive in London at.

  9. nearest train station assuming u travel by rail from Bristol is Paddington.   Then take a 7 or 15 bus both of which go along Edgware Road to Marble Arch (where Oxford Street begins) continue along Oxford Street past Selfridges to Oxford Circus

  10. Oxford Street has four London Underground stations. These are (from west to east): Marble Arch, Bond Street, Oxford Circus, and Tottenham Court Road. All of these are on the Central Line. Bond Street is the best for shopping (Selfridges and HMV Records are two of the main shops) whilst Oxford Circus (John Lewis) is situated at the top of Regent Street (Hamleys).

From Bristol it may be cheaper to go to Waterloo by direct train (but the journey time is much longer) instead of London Paddington.

  11. From Bristol Temple Meads take a train to London Paddington. Follow the signs across the concourse to the (southbound) Bakerloo Line and alight at Oxford Circus. You will be at the middle of Oxford Street when you get to the surface
