i want to go from delhi to mumbai in one day by car. can anyone help advise amit.dhingra at akdcompanies.com. want to reach pune in fact. any one can help advising what will be route and what is the road condition.

for Pune there might be a different road...!!!

why don't you search google earth... or Yahoo maps... you will get adequate information... get a road map... or isher map from book shop...

Delhi-Mumbai in one day by road is impossible!  Even if you drive whole day/night...which is absolutely inadvisable, of course.  

The condition of roads on the highways is good,  much improved.  Its only the city roads which slow you down.

Edit:  Drive only during the day and take turns.  (Night driving is unsafe for many reasons).   With expert driving you'll reach in 2 days,  safely...

We did it once many years ago,  driving only during the day (with only my husband at the wheels),  with 2 nights break at Shivpuri and Agra.  

We took NH 3 (Mumbai-Agra road).  

From Agra NH 2 to Delhi. (Reverse for you)

Or,

You can take NH 8 (Delhi-Mumbai) via Rajasthan/Gujarat. From here you can reach Pune by expressway.

If you plan to take the 1st route then from Nasik go for Nasik-Pune highway (NH 50).

in one day by car.
