Its a goal i have set for myself in life. but i am only 15 right now, and i know i need to practice A LOT more. right now i am on the verge of making it to 7 feet, but thats good compared to me last year, where i couldn't even get over 5 feet. this year I've improved a lot more. but i was wondering how high you have to go to become part of one of the Olympics best pole vaulters.

  1. You like the big pole huh. It's gonna take a long time to master it.

  2. I think the womens world record is somewhere around 5 meters...so getting in that vacinity I am pretty sure you would be an Olympic qualifier.

  3. To put it in to perspective - the mens pole vault world record is 6.14 meters which roughly equates to 20 feet. The women world record is 5.04 meters so ~15.5 feet.

  4. actually the men's pole vault record is 22ft somethin inches by sergei bubka. just to clarify.
