I want to go part time to look for other work nut my work guilt trips me what can i do?

i cant do a call centre job for 8 hours a day its mind numbing i would do part time and do another job during the day.

You are best to look for a different full-time job.  As someone else has already said, the tax implications of working two jobs are such that you will have almost no take-home pay from the second job.  Also, part-time jobs are few and far between, so you would really have limited options.  If you do find something, it's very hard to work two jobs for a long period of time without one being neglected in favour of the other.

If you're working evenings at the moment, then you're lucky because this is allowing you the daytimes free to apply and interview for other roles.  You should be able to line up another job before quitting.

If you really do need to take time off in order to find a job, then you could ask to go part-time to enable you to "study" during the day.  Of course, if you need the money, there's going to be a limit to how long you can work part-time for so this may not be an option.

I'd look for another full time job, if you get a second job youll have to pay second income tax which is 33% so you would be better off with just the one job that wasnt mind numbing =]
