I want to go swimming with friends but i have poison ivy ?

im on the 7th da and i have treatments and it is going away . my parents say no because bla bla bla and i thought it wouldnt have any effect . can i go swimming in a pool ? please i need detailed answers. thanks

Yeah. You can go. It's not like you're contagious.

Detailed answer: you had a skin reaction to a plant. This is what made the red rash. It's an allergic reaction. So once it has happened, it's not your skin that's contagious... the plant is gone.

Not sure why they wouldn't want you to go? Maybe a little more info than bla bla bla?
