Should I put both on my fafsa?

  1. Is it really worth the trouble?  Evaluate why you're transferring schools and see if you can stay at one.  However, if you must, I'd wait and do it after staying at one school for a full year- much less of a headache.  Also, make sure all your credits transfer.  If they don't, don't waste your time.


  2. Yes, it would be best to include both schools on the FAFSA upfront. This will prevent you having to make a correction later when it comes time to transfer. Including them both on your FAFSA now will allow your information to be sent to both schools so that you can complete your file at both schools right away to prevent any delays in disbursement once you transfer.

    And, if for some reason you end up not transferring, having the extra school on your FAFSA will not effect anything at your current school of attendance. So basically, you have nothing to lose in including them now, and it will save you time in the future.
