I'm currently 15, but by next summer, I will be 16. I want to find a program in which I can go to Africa and live with a tribe to learn about cultural differences over the summer. Does anyone know of a website with more information or programs?

  1. Sadly you might need to wait til you are 18, a lot of places that do that sort of immersion travel don't take people under that age for insurance reasons but I had a look, have a look at these:

Also how about doing a gap year working in Africa after you graduate from high school? There is a lot of programs like that and you will be doing some good, supporting communities etc. while learning about the place.

    Check out:

  2. it sounds ridcul;ous, and i am one ridiculous person.

i have heard of forign excahnge programs, but living ina tribe.hahahahaha.

u would,1.have tohav ea passport,2.have ur parents consent,3.havea bucket of money,4.preferbly speark thier langiage.

forget about it till u are in college.

  3. When you get into college you can go into studying Anthropolgy, History or African Studies and look for opportunities there.  Also you can join the peace corps after college if you want to go there.  Take French in highschool and it will help you get around as well.

Sorry I don't know any good hs programs.
