I want to go to Jerusalem?

Hi. It has been my dream since I was young to visit Jerusalem in Israel. I know I may be young (14), but in the near future, I would love to go to the Holy Land. I am a pretty religious Christian, so Jerusalem is like a landmark for me. I was wondering...has anyone recently visited Jerusalem? My grandparents have been there twice, but that was a few years ago. If you have, is it safe for me to go there? At least when I'm 18 or so?

I heard its beautiful, and I'm praying that I get a chance to go there.

Ask your preacher.  If he knows his bible he will tell you go now.  Four years is a long ways off and many changes will occur at an ever increasing pace.

the only way to be relatively safe is to take a tour- there are many for young people. There are tours for Christian youth- some even through your church. It is beautiful. I'm Jewish so it's my "homeland" as well

Since you are so young, you should defintely take an organized tour of Jerusalem. Many of the areas that are religious for Christians are located in the Old City of Jerusalem - which is an Arab area and less secure than the Jewish Quarters that are filled with more security - generally it is easier to get around with a large group of people. It is defintely safe to go at 14 - just in terms of travel in general bring your family
