I want to go to a medical institute when i get out of high school...but there are a few issues..help! please!?

I'm a year behind in school,but I'm making it up this year

what are some ways that will give me a better chance in getting into a medical institute

like besides grades and test scores

If you're in the US, you need a 4-year college degree to apply to medical school - and those are the only grades they are interested in.  So try getting into a good college, keeping a good GPA (> 3.5), and taking the pre-med courses.
