go to the website of the 4 year university you want to go to and check out what classes they require for a mech engineering degree, and try to take as many of those while at community college.. most likely you will only be able to get the pre-req's out of the way at community college (ie: classes you must take before you can take your engineering classes, lots of math probably and physics, so dont waste your community college science classes on biology if its not required for your master plan)
