From the sounds of it, you're from the US??

If you need to go quickly and don't have time to apply for a travel license from the OFAC, then travel via a 3rd country with a valid passport. The carta turistsa (tourist card) will be provided for you through the travel agency/tour operator that you book your ticket through.
