If i was you i could start tracking ticket prices on travelocity.com right away...keep checking again and again!! I'm pretty sure that in a couples weeks you're gonna catch a good deal as i did. I only pay $420 round trip for my mom and it was on peak period for christmas!

I will give you some tips( for experience lol) to have more posibilities to find a good deal:

1-Keep checking the website i gave you above every week (specially between tuesday and thrusday)

2-Try to find a mid-week flight( as the answer before mine said)

3- If you don't matter, tickets with stop are cheaper

4-Use the option Farechase de Yahoo to fidn more options in price

5-Look for your ticket right away! Not at last minute

The 3 major airlines that fly from the US to El Salvador are American, United, and Taca.  If you are nearby one of their hubs, you are in luck.  There are other airlines that fly to ES, but the 3 above do the bulk of the flying.

You did not say where you were departing from, so it's a little hard to help you with a flight quote.

If you are flying mid-week, your chances of finding cheaper fares are much better.
