I want to go to sorrento, but dont want to arrive there by bus, how do i get there?

Depends on from which direction you are coming. You can catch a bus from Amalfi ... an INCREDIBLE and unforgettable ride. The Circumvesuvia is a train that runs around the bay of Naples, from Naples to Sorrento, and is great for getting to many of the sights in the area.

Hello.

The best way is to take a small train called "Ferrovia Circumvesuviana" ( line or Linea 1 ).

It is a smaller and slower train the circumvents the Vesuvius volcano from Naples to Sorrento. It is a pretty scenic train that is actually quite fun to take. I took it 2 years ago and it was great.

It is probably the best way to get from Naples to Sorrento.

P.S. Watch out for gypsies.... They are a european nomadic tribe which are experts at picking your pockets and purse snatchings..... They are very poorly dressed and most of the time speak broken Italian and are also very dirty looking.
