  1. Start by figuring out how much you can afford, American colleges are much more ecxpensive than schools in most countries. Then order a guide to US college such as the Fiske Guide and start researching.

  2. It's very expensive (the most expensive of the private universities costs $39,000 a year). I advise you to pick the cheapest one. Or wait until you've done your degree in the UK (where you will get the financial support to need, as well as paying less) and then moving to America.

  3. i want to do the same after sixth form

id say think about what part of america first and then start looking for universities in that area (google it)

you need to look at the type of course you want to do,their policies on 'foreign' students, costs for education + accomodation and living in general

  4. In order to come to the US, you would probably need a student visa.  What do you want to study?  That is important to consider.  Pick a school that has a good program in whatever you'd like to study. Also consider sports if you like to play soccer, baseball, or other sports.  You might also consider if there is a community of people from the same country as you so that you have a group of people experiencing the same new culture shock as you are.

Then, apply to a few schools.  Once you have been accepted to a school, then you can go about getting a visa to enter the country.

    Good luck!

  5. Well for starters you might like to learn the difference between the words "to" and "too".
