I want to go to west point and im in 9th grade should i take my sat and act now for practice.?

  1. no- you can wait until 10th.  what you should do know is build up a resumme of things that show you have good character.  your state senator has to write you a letter of recomandation to West Point.  (everyone there has been recomended by their senator).  in order to do this you will mail your senator a list of things you've done to show your a citizen of strong character.  so start volunteering and consider interning in your mayor's office or some small political job like that.


  2. Prestigious school!  That's fantastic you have such high aspirations.

    No, it's not necessary to take those tests so early in your high school career.  West Point likes leaders and people that know how to work in a team, so your time would be better spent getting involved in lots of extra curricular activities and concentrating on the classes you're taking at the moment.  If you're truly worried about the SATs and ACTs, take a study course a few months before you register for the tests.
