I want to grow a sweet potato,just one?

Question

Its growing in a bowl,without water.What end of the tater do I put in the water, the already sprouty side thats already growing or the end that has no growth.

well the end with the sprouty side is the roots growin, so plant the potato roots down in a pot and water daily intil more are produced

Not sure this got sent the 1st time, so I'm resending.

What I have found is the end sprouting needs to stay out of the water and the end that is not sprouting should be immersed. However, you may find that more that 1/2 of the potato goes below the waterline.
