I want to have a casino reception after my wedding for REAL money is it legal? In Ohio?

If you need a license how do you go about getting one? I know how to rent the equipment but does anyone know how to get dealers. We just want a game night -Casino, board games, kareokee. Any suggestions would be GREAT! Thanks!

yes I live in Ohio and know this law very well.

Even if it's a private party it is still not allowed.

Anyways what type of venue are you having your reception at?  If they have a liquor license then they could lose it.

You can get a Charity Bingo license and a % of the winnings has to be donated for it to be legal.

I believe you can inquiry through the department of liqour control as they control those licenses.

If you could arrange in advance for the players to buy and provide them chips to pay with and no money is exchanged during the event you could get away with it that way.  You can order the chips online pretty cheap.
