  1. Go to your local antique, consignment, or thrift shop.  See what gets your attention there, and start your collection right away.  Maybe you'll like the antique jewelry there....or vintage glass....or artwork....or salt & pepper shakers.

When I was a little girl, I collected hotel soaps, because my step-dad travelled all the time.  I had little soap bars from all over the place.  I ended up with over 200 bars when the collection was at its peak.  When I got tired of collecting little soaps, my family used them all up. :)

  2. when you are in an antique or 'junk' store and you see a ____?____ it makes your heart race and you inevitably say OH! MY Gosh!!!

Fill in the blank, and you will know what to collect.

  3. cards

  4. What are you interested in? If you like art, collect paintbrushes. You know what I mean.

  5. I have salt n peppers, sugar n creamers, thimbles, teapots, lambs, hummingbirds.

thimbles don't take up any space at all. you can get those little shadow box frames and hang them on the wall.

the lambs and hummingbirds were sort of an accident, but they sure are cute.

  6. how about shot glasses, pilzner glasses, hurricane glasses, & martini glasses.

We collect these, but they have to be from Hard Rock cafe, Planet Hollywood, Hooters, House of Blues, & Rainforest Cafe, & they haveto say the state & city on them too.

  7. head bands, beads, um...braceltes, bangles, coins, color pencils, key chains, posters and ribbons?

  8. What you should collect depends on why you want to collect.  There are basically two types of collectors: 1) people who collect items for personal meaning and 2) people who collect items for the monetary value of an item.  For example: You can collect  antique cookie jars.  You may find a cookie jar that you like so you collect them for that reason.  But because they are antique, they may have a large $ value also.

My suggestion is to find some "theme" you enjoy or reflects your personality and start there.  Some ideas: If you like horses, collect figurines; if you like frogs, collect stuffed animals; if you like butterflies, collect pictures.

    Have fun!!

  9. I collect money. Yes, i do! LOL

I've collected money all over the world, from friends i know, penpals i've written to over the years. I collect US dollars that are old, coins and such.

I also collect stamps... all sorts, varieties. They do not take up a lot of space and it's very nice art and is worth money.

I also collect dolls, but with my kids. They love it too. They're got a huge collection of barbies.

    Hope that helps!
