  1. most hotels wont let you have partys

  2. I am not familiar with TN or Mt Juliet lol, but I would suggest the way to get some different quotes to compare, is to look in your local yellow pages under hotel, and phone a few of them and ask for their banquet hall or hall/conference hall rental rates and tell them specifically what you do/don't need it for. Make sure you ask things like how much deposit required, when to secure the hall with a deposit, is the deposit refundable, how many hours does that give you the room for, what extras are involved, do they include chairs/tables and set up.

If you are looking specifically for hotel rentals, like the rooms downstairs that they rent out to people for weddings/ conferences etc, you in all likelihood will receive a no on the catering issue. Most places do not allow you to do your own catering on their premises -legality/insurance issues etc. Halls that do allow you to would be community halls, legions, churches etc, that rent out their spaces and kitchens to various groups and people for the night. For those you can look in the yellow pages under halls/banquet halls or something similar.

    Good luck.
