I want to have a scary halloween party outside?

just a small party with my 2 bffs, we all love horses and since i have 2 i was thinking we could take a little trail ride in my backyard but make it scary! and we would do it at night once it gets darker but i need some ideas for how to make it scary because i dont really have to much money to spend and my backyard doesnt have a very long trail, ill explain what it kinda looks like as best as i can,we have a little space to ride in the front yard, and a hill next to the woods, we have a pond,another hill that is small but steep so its fun to ride the horses on,and then we have to pastures, a small one and a big one, also we have a river that u walk across to go to another pasture/trail area

so how can i decorate these area to make them scary??? i need lots of ideas, thanks =]

I wouldn't ride the horses on the spooky trail because you may spook them and you don't want anyone falling off.  Instead I would ride the horses up the steep hill and set up a haunted trail for you and your friends to walk though by the woods.  You could have family members hiding in the woods and they can jump out with chain saws or fake knife.  You could also have them drop fake bodies from the trees while you are walking.  Have a scary cd playing music.  I would also have fake snakes hanging from the trees.
