Does anyone know how this can be done? I would like to just latch on to an existing free radio broadcaster, and do my DJing there. Is it possible? Where can I go or how can I create a playable online radio show?

  1. what does MTV have to do w/ radio?

Basically, you need a catch.  Most people who end up on the air are either jounalists, people in politics, music critics, etc.  Or there's the people that start at the bottom and work up.

If you think youve got the stuff and dont mind a crazy schedule and lots and LOTS of work (show prep, music beds, sponsors, paperwork, affidavits, etc) make an aircheck tape or CD and send it around, along w/ a resume or short explination of why you think you qualify.  Its also alot of who you know.  Like for local stations, go to remotes and live events and meet your future co-workers.  The more people you get in good with, the better your chances.

As for doing your own online, just get a domain host, pay for your site, and then you can put whatever you want on there.  Im not sure how constant streaming works but if you just wanted to do say a few hours a day at a certain time it would be cheaper and easier to just get a page and post the audio on there.

  2. go to mtv.com or you can google search it

  3. Free Radio is almost a thing of the past. In the next few years you'll pay for everything or do without. How are you stocked at home with your music collection. Good luck!!

  4. too bad
