I want to have some information about networking in a SQL server platform?

First, you should find out what flavor of SQL you are deploying and what the redundancy and available requirements will be.

Once you have this information, I recommend picking up some books on that particular SQL variant, and management of it.  It's a lot of information and will take some time to absorb.

In networking you will have the server in one machine and the client will connect to the ip address of the server, this option will come on the first screen of the sql server when the sql will ask for connection on that you will select the server and the database engine which is a type of sql server this is different from the server machine then give the sql authentication with login and password for the authentication you should check it during the installation of the Sql in the server machine.
