I want to try and find some kind of group that goes to another country to help animals in need. Does anyone have any idea if such a group exists?

  1. Why don't you try to do it locally. I think there will be more chance for you to do it here in the states. If you prefer to do it abroad, I think of the orangutan foundation. Check out below website

  2. I think Peta may have some idea. Great idea! Good luck!

  3. There are many. Two of my favorites:

    The Mayhew Animal Home

Based in London, they work all over the world, even Afghanistan. I have a link on my web site encouraging people to give to them to help regarding Afghanistan, and they did get a few donations as a result.

Amazon Community Animal Rescue, Education Safety (Amazon CARES) seeks better health and living conditions for ALL living beings of the Peruvian Amazon region by providing appropriate veterinary care to owned stray domestic animals, protecting said animals from cruelty neglect, and promoting humane living responsible pet ownership. And they involve online volunteers to help with their work:

To actually go to another country and help, you would need to either pay all expenses yourself, or, have vet expertise and the ability to train others in vet services.

  4. I am wondering the same thing,

Whatever you do DO NOT SUPPORT PETA! There workers killed a bunch of dogs found in the dumpster in back of the companys buildings, honestly, scam much.

  5. PETA international. But you'd have to probably be a citizen of that country because they have their own people. It is to messy and expensive to recruit a foreigner. Why not help here? There is still a lot to achieve for animal rights.
