Question:

I want to hook up my older computers through a modern kvm that uses dvi, what adapter or chord would I need?

It doesn't look like vga on the tower. The computers are both HP's. A Media Center m1160n & a Pavillion 9795c. I'm sure it's standard, but was browsing through adapters online and saw vga didn't match the back of my tower (although it matches the monitor). The monitor has both dvi & vga slots. So what do I need to buy that will fit the backs of my computers and connect to the dvi inputs of the kvm? i was looking at the Aten cs1782, but think i may hold out for something with 4 ports. Thanks in advance.

  1. Ask any office store, depends which way you want (plugs into DVI vs plugs into VGA) but they make them.  We use these to connect new computers to old monitors and test defective DVI monitors with our older computer.
