I want to impress my roomie!?

i am going to college in a week and i just contacted my roomie and she is outgoing, school spirited, and talkative. she seems really nice but i am nervous because i dont know what to say to her. she thinks we are going to be really good friends but how can i live up to her expectations. i have never been a new student at a school so i am new to the starting all over thing. how should i act around her? it would help if people who have been to college and have succeeded with bonding with their roomate would answer.

just be yourself. if she doesnt like you. then shes not as outgoing as she says. so you dont wanna be friends with that liar anywayss!

Just be yourself because it's stupid to be someone you're not.  Being somewhat open and friendly helps too!

Just be true to yourself.  If she likes you great, if not, you'll be like every other roommates in the dorms.  I first thought that my roommate and I would hit it off, based on his messages/phone calls and he turned out to be a jerk.  I just tried to be out of the room as much as possible, hanging out with other friends, studying in the library, etc.  Just try to keep a positive attitude  Good luck.
