I want to impulsively go and travel somewhere for a few months... where do i go?

i'm from australia, so i'd prefer an english speaking country, but it's not essential. i'd like to work overseas too so maybe the language barrier is important, but a lot of countries have english as their second language. i don't know.

anyway! to the point... where should i go? somewhere enjoyable, affordable, work available and preferably english speaking. all suggestions welcome!

well with the declining value of our american dollar, why not the US its getting cheaper and cheaper.

Come to Canada! We have less crime and pollution then the states (no offence to anyone, just statistically speaking). Ottawa is beautiful. You could easily find a job and you'll be adored for your awesome australian accent.
