I want to install an in dash cd player ?

in dash cd player in my truck a 88 chevy Cheyenne the stock radio is plugged into a metal box under the dash as well the antenna.what i want to know is can i wire my radio/cd player to that or should i just wire it right to the fuse box

you can actually buy a wiring kit that will allow you to wire the new radio with a stock  plug in.  they cost around $10-$15.  they work well, i have used them a few times.  good luck!!...

you can splice if you know which wire does what. i have done 2 cars that way myself.
