I want to interview someone for an information product I want to sell, How do I ask them without paying them?

I don't mind paying them an upfront fee. I would prefer not too however I really don't want to pay them royalties. Do you have any ideas how I can approach it, thanks.

The basic concept to want to emply in this situation and other similar situations in the future is to create a win-win relationship.

For instance, you can propose that the interviewee be allowed to offer the finished product as a free bonus to his customers (or ezine subscribers, etc.).

In return he/she provides you with good information in the interview.

While the scenario I just described may not fit your situation exactly, I'm sure once you understand the concept you can modify the details to create a win-win relationship for both of you.
