I want to invent a time machine. Nobody from the future has or they would be here telling us about it.

Question

Now what equipment do I need? I haven't much room at home. Can I put it together on the dining table? I did study a bit of quantam physics and think it should be possible but am suspicious as nobody is racing back from the future. I have a glue gun. I am a good neighbour so nothing too noisy please. If you tell me I will keep it secret, as no-one else will look at this question. Oh and I also have lots of old watches and clocks. I just need the technology please. Thank you for your information.

Hmmm, isn't there some time traveling rule that say's you cant interfere with the past?

Maybe future people are everywhere, maybe even you!! but can't tell us to protect the time line.

You start by gluing a wristwatch to a metal sheet.  Microwave it for 10 seconds, then take it out.  You may bend the sheet so it looks more stylish.

Simply change the time on the clock, and it can move you through time, hours at a time.

p.s. It only works once.

i don't think they would tell us about it, i think they would be to occupied with trying to get thier parents together at the fish under the sea dance.  sorry this was a joke answer, but...well, you brought this on yourself.  i do remember attending a graduation ceremony in claremount where a professor was one of the speakers and he seemed deadly serious when he said he thought time travel was possible.

I've got a kick *** one. I can move forward in time a minute in 60 seconds. Amazing isn't it. But I can't tell you how to make it, otherwise you go back and tell yourself, shake your hand and make a paradox and kill us all. I will tell you, you are way off with the clocks, you just need 1 watch.

well first you need a car battery a working cell phone 23 circle magnets from 15" car sub-woofer speakers a lot of rope and a liter of tequila now what you is you take your magnet and put them five feet apart in a square 100 feet long now use you rope to tie them together all must be tied to ever single other one this is your space-time modulator make sure the cell phone is turned off until your done once you done stand in the middle turn on the phone erase all contacts messages games and ringtones and then call this number 918273645500 to activate the machine then ill meet you at the hoover d**n when you land in 2379 have all the tequila drunk by the time you hit send so laying down on the modulator don't hurt as much because you have to lay down for the machine to work and might as well take a nap it takes two hours for the machine to close and take off but ill see you there mines ready i've been waiting for this question for years bout time i go back home

its true, but what if them coming back to tell us about this is part of the natural time line and by not doing so they are destroying time and space? how do we know that no one is ment to go back in time and murder someone important, how do we know that some one didnt go back in time and kill the dinosaurs? what if we have allready been influenced by time travelers?

i dont know if u r joking, but i have actually been studying different theorys, many people had them including einstein. to time travel, the best u can do at the moment, is to break the speed of sound and light, aparently when u break the speed of light time around u slows down, so that is the foundation of time travel.

There is a theory that a time machine would work sort of like a 'teleporter' (from sci-fi movies).  It states that you would need two machines, one to send you and one to receive you (or one machine that could do both jobs).  Therefore, the reason nobody is in the past is that we haven't built a receiver yet.  Just something to think about.
