I want to join an already existing Yahoo Group and the system will not let me -- what do I need to do?

I keep getting the error that "this profile is not valid" but no instructions on how to create a profile.

Yahoo has been having alot of errors lately. it could just be a glitch. if you belong to any groups, you may want to be sure you're not bouncing in any of them. my guess is it's a temp. glitch, if your account was valid, you'd not be able to log onto it.

a profile is about the same as an account, along with any  aliases you may have on that profile. you could create a new account- sign out on the web and then click this link

you can also create a new account through the Y Messenger by signing out

the bummer would be you'd have to sign into this each time to go to that group
