I want to join the SAS and need to know how many pushups and situps etc i need to do to get fit enough ?

they are of high importacne, to put it bluntly if you cant do high amounts you are f**ked, if you do a set of fifty and say a few aren't done properly, you will have to do them all again untill you do them properly.
if you are on a hill, and face a particular way that is easier (either up hill or down hill) you will be told how the SAS isnt about doin things the easy way, and have to do them again, the hard way...
im just guessing, but id say a minimum of 100 push up in one set easily and maybe 150-200 sit ups
