I want to join the navy but in HMS Raleigh are they communal showers or a private shower?

If that's all that interests you about joining the forces, you really aren't suited, mate.  There will be occasions in your service when the only shower you get involves a mate pouring a bucket over you.

When I joined the Army, on occasions we weren't allowed back into the accommodation after an exercise until we'd hosed each other down with a fire hose, first fully clothed and then stark naked. Then we had to go back in our own time and shovel up the mud . . .

If you're worried about other people seeing you naked then maybe the Navy isn't for you. I imagine you'd be expected to accept and make do with whatever facilities are provided or not provided

It is usual communal showers in HM Forces. What do you think the boys have in Iraq, an en suite?

FFS. I don't think you should go in.... If all you can worry about is where and how you will have a wash...
