I want to join the police, but what would i do with police dogs?

i am in my first year of GCSE's (year 10) with one year left at school. i wish to jion the police force and work with the police dogs, can any help me and tell me what training i would do and what test i go through to become a [police officer and handler, i know that you can apply to become a police oofficer at 17 but cannot become one untill you are at least 18 and that you have to be a normal police officer untill you can change forces and become a dog handler but does anyone have any links to any police sites. i live close to wawrickshire and solihull so they would be best suit....
