  1. u dont neccesarilly stop bleeding.  start using tamps.  they dont hurt and are very confortable.  you cant even feel them and they come with directions in the box.

  2. no you do not stop bleeding at any time until the end of your period, tampons are intimidating but once you wear one you will feel completely comfortable and not even know it is there, and not feel like you are wearing a diaper. if you want to try tampons, but you will not stop bleeding...

  3. First of all, no, you don't stop bleeding. It just seems like that cause you are in so much water, it seems diluted. You should learn to wear a tampon. Once you try them, and get it situated right, they are great. No muss, no fuss.

Please wear a tampon in the pool. Think of it this way, would you want to be swimming around in someone else's period blood? Yuck.

  4. Sometimes you will stop bleeding while in water, but you should really learn how to use a tampon. They do not hurt and you need to wear something while in the pool. A pad will just lead to embarrassment.

  5. No, thats not possible. It would be advisable to look at options you have to prevent breakout during the swimming practice or competition. If tampon may be the only way then its something you have to learn. Many friends of mine are on the swim team, ofcourse they are women but this issue has never been a big deal for them. Do not worry, consult your coach and ofcourse your local pharmacy and doctor. Never let the fear discourage you from doing something you love to do or be part of.

good luck! win some medals! =)

  6. no you don't.

tampons are scary at first, but a fact of life.

note to self- don't swim in pools with adolescent girls....

  7. no you do not stop when in the pool and yes you can use a tampon they are ok and they are infact nicer. but i didnt' think young girls could wear them. i didnt' until i was 25 and iddn't konw about them till then it was girlfriend that told me. anyhow you can use them and theyar enice. you stick them there and it has string and it will stay till you pull it out and it ok to use this. taek care.

  8. You do.....but the walk TO the pool you'll bleed, then if it's heavy flow there might be some flow in the water at first AND the walk BACK to the locker room.

Tampons are not uncomfortable, they just take a few tries to get it perfect. Use the plastic applicator (Pearl is my favorite) bc it's makes it easier to insert.

When I was 15 we were all going to the lake - my GF had no idea how to use one & said it was uncomfortable - she didn't take the applicator out!!! We still laugh over that 16 yrs later. ;)

  9. probably

  10. Tampons aren't uncomfortable to wear.  I wouldn't risk swimming w/out one during my period.

  11. No you dont stop bleeding when you swim.... do a test...filll a sink with water if you have a scab any where pick it off and leave it under the water(not running water) for ten seconds... do you get my point.... Now tampons arent uncomfortable.... on the contrary I prefer them over pads... I hate wearing pads.. Yet 2 years ago I was having the same problem as you are.... Just make sure you place the tampon in right in right....  because that can be uncomfortable.... Tampons arent for 24/7 but if you want to swim I would recommend you and your friend (who claims you stop bleeding when you swim) to use them

  12. You won't necessarily stop bleeding in the pool. I don't like tampons but I use them when i swim. I started using them when I was about 15 or so.
