  1. To jump higher, you need to strengthen the muscles you use to jump. The main muscle used is the quadricep (front upper leg). Two exercises that would help build those muscles allowing you to jump higher are squats and a double leg extension exercise. If you go to your local gym and ask someone who works there, they will be able to show you these 2 exercises. Good Luck!

  2. i used to practice by leaping tall buildings in a single bound, and i was faster than a speeding bullet and more powerful than a locomotive.

just squat and spring up over and over, get your muscles into memory mode, they do remember things, sounds silly but it is true. train them for the jumping, give it a go mate, good luck with it all.

  3. Pretend to be micheal jordan

  4. train on the same team as John Hopoate!!!!

seriously? get your legs trim, lean and strong - play tennis!!!!

  5. I'd try Pilates, it helps with Ur rehabilitation as well. If you did try using ankle weights I'd only do it once a week for 5 - 10 Min's or not at all, this can cause problems with your knees and shin splints then you wont be playing any sort of footy at all.

Id just keep jumping while having no weights or having a very small amount something in the range of 200 - 500 grams. While you continue to jump for 10 - 15 Min's your body will learn to how to adapt to this there fore in prove your jumping distance.

I also herd in China some would dig a hole and they wouldn't get out of that hole until they could jump out of it. if your gonna try that start of small.

  6. Work on your leg muscles and find a technique that suits u. Practice too.

  7. There is no exercise that can cause you to 'jump higher'.

It is all natural ability & atheleticism.

Exercises will help strengthen muscles & practice may improve your current situation - but as they say, "White Men Can't Jump".

  8. a friend of mine who used to play afl used to jump onto his kitchen table (it was a realllly solid table, high ceilings too!) and off again repeatedly, just from a standing start.

Maybe you just need to find something that you can practice jumping onto - it gives you a height to aim for, and you gradually increase the height as you get better.

  9. i heard that jumping as high as you can while wearing ankle weights can help!! it strengthens your ankle muscles and helps you jump higher! so ive heard anyway!!

  10. I have heard Ballet helps.
