I want to keep but not breed fancy guppies. How much trouble am I in for if I do not remove the new babies?

  1. you could just keep all males-problem solved! or get a couple of female bettas-I don't get any fry surviving in my main tank for long.....


  2. I never remove fry from the tank.  They still breed and I still end up with lots of fry to get rid of.  There is no reason at all to remove the fry.  At least 75 per cent of them end up dying even if you do remove them.

  3. If you do not remove the new babies some to all will die unless you have a decently planted tank. (And here is where the thumbs down are going to come) I do this with my pair of breeding platys. I do not want and having nothing to do with all the babies so I just let nature run it's course. Don't get me wrong I don't do anything purposely to kill them. I have excellent water quality and I feed them I just don't stop my other fish from having a snack. As far as your other fish go it will not hurt them to eat them they will only have a snack!
