Why is it that people who don't wear the same clothes or do the same things as others get made fun of?
I just got done reading an article about Emilie Autumn, and I think she's great, but it made me so sad to find out that she was made fun of and hurt as a kid.
There are many other great artists I know of that had similar pasts.
As far as I know, they are all really great people - very nice, intelligent, and creative.
To me, that's such an idealistic personality.
Earlier today, as I was waiting for my class to start, I heard a bunch of prep girls "whispering" about how weird my hair was and how quiet I was. This does't mean much to me, because I they don't know me enough to know how "quiet" I am. I don't think my hair was that bizarre either. I guess the closest look would be a Helena Bonham Carter look, for a mental image.
And so what if I don't like to wear clothes from Hollister or the c**p? It's expensive, and it'll go out of fashion in the next few years anyway.
Why not wear something that'll last? That you'll be known for?
Everyone insists on being the same, and it's pissing me off that these dull, smart ***, idiots have the gull to call ME strange.
I think it's strange that they are all the same. Robots are strange to me. I, on the other hand, feel real, and real goes a long way compared to fake.
Look, point is, I'm just trying to survive highschool until I get out and do my own thing. I don't want to grow up paranoid.
Any pointers?
