I want to know a good book to read??

I am 14 and love to read but i cant find many books to read?? any ideas. i love romance and mystery. i dont want anything to gross because if my parents pick it up it and read the blurb it has to sound ok.

I work at a middle school library and the following are books that always have a waiting list for students. Check these out - remember, if you like any of these, continue with the same author, you will probably like other books by the same author.

Romance -

Absolutely normal chaos. Creech, Sharon.

The wedding. Sparks, Nicholas.

My secret boyfriend. McDaniel, Lurlene.

Mystery -

Darkest hour. Cabot, Meg.

Windcatcher. Avi, 1937-

The secret of the underground room. Bellairs, John.

And then there were none. Christie, Agatha

I'll be seeing you : a novel. Clark, Mary Higgins.

I know what you did last summer. Duncan, Lois, 1934-

Also, can you access your schools on-line public access catalog (OPAC)? You could scholl through a list of books using "keywords" or "subject" or "author" to find books you like. Good Luck, remember your public library to use over the summer too.

For romance,you can go for Jane eyre,wuthering heights,Emma,pride and prejudice. (etc)
