  1. i have two black mollies who just had a baby so i have three now i just feed them tropical fish food morning and night and they just live their life. You don't need to worry too much. Put lots of plants and rocks in your tank so babies can hide and put gravel. I think bettas are supposed to live alone. My mollies live with lots of other kinds of tropical fish in my tank and they're just fine.

theyre very friendly and lovable theyll live with any kind of fish thatre not agressive. idk about the bettas with them though but you can keep females with them.

they love plants like java moss and caves.

yes they can live with your fishes but i dont know about the male betta.

also when the mom gives birth to her fry remove her. check the waters pH nitrites and nitrates and ammonia the babies will die from water polution. keep them in a 5+ gallon tank or theyll get stressed and die. theyre extremly sensitive to thing but when they get older theyll become hardy. my black molly frys died this morning!!! =(

    goodluck!!! =D

  3. Mollies are wonderful fish with great personality!  I have seven adult mollies and about seven fry which are now big enough to not get eaten.  Do you have any aquarium salt in your fish tank?  Mollies seem to do better with some salt in their water.  It is also better for the fry.  Mollies really like a different variety of foods, including algea, blood worms and flake foods.  I don't really see a problem with the bettas(no more than one male) in the tank as long as your mollies do not nip on their fins.  If your mollies are having newborns and you want them to survive make sure there is enough hiding spots in the tank for them to survive.  Like plants or rocks.  Im glad you are interested in mollies!! they are a lot of fun and i absolutely love them!

  4. Years ago I included Black Mollies with Zebras, Clown Loach, Catfish, Redtailed Shark, Neon Tetras, and I forget what else. They all got along fine. The normal rocks, lots of plants of the fuzzy frilly kind for fry to hide in, a Mermaid, regular fish food, no worms as they are toxic, and it's all very ordinary and safe. Better than TV.
