in an electronic ckt,

1. check if any resistor is too hot. Yes? replace it with a higher wattage resistor.

2. regulators, if any, shud be provided with heat sinks.

3. check for any soldering mis-contacts. use DMM to test continuity between two nodes in a ckt.

4. be sure about the connections u make to pins of ICs if any.

5. put a 0.01uF cap between IC's Vcc and Gnd pins to eliminate noise effects.

6. relays, if any, shud be provided with a Rev biased diode in parallel.

7. OpAmps can at maximum, source about 25mA. if more current is required, use a transistor to boost the current.

8. make sure ICs are biased within permissible limits. in other words, check if any IC is hot.
