I want to know how i find myself in a 18 month contract which i have not signed upto?

I recently purchased a new BT phone line with Broadband and the BT vision pack, only to find that when i tried to cancel my BT vision and broadband because it far too expensive and i can only receive approx 15% of the channels that i can't cancel because they tell me i am in an 18 month contract!!!

Ask them to send you evidence of the contract that you 'signed'.  Then get on to the customer services manager, don't speak to the customer services people you won't get anywhere with them,  go straight to the manager.  good luck

You will find that by agreeing to take out the package and having the equipment free you have automatically signed up for the 18 month contract ,read the small print where you applied for the package

as techno says, if its done over the phone its a verbal contract which is binding, if done online, you tick a box saying youve read the terms and conditions, and same with any literature.
